Historic Comparison to Ifell Moderating VP Debate

I was searching for a historic comparision to the situation involving the clearly biased and conflicted Gwen Ifell moderating the Vice Presidential debate. The best I can come up with is the Nuremburg trials, where a Soviet judge sat in judgment of the Nazis along with the American, French, and British judges. I admit I am being facetious and the latter situation was obviously much more serious than a debate, but sadly the general concept is the same.
