Hillary to the Rescue!

Wow! I wonder what Geraldine Ferraro will think of this: Newsbusters' Noel Sheppard uncovers a report by the British Times Online, of Hillary's consent to join our morally bankrupt media at the Palin-smearing party. Sisterhood be damned! Hill's got a White House to win after the next four years, and besides, ideology trumps all! Noel ruminates as to when, if ever, the American media will pick up the story, but I suspect it's strictly a rhetorical question. We all know the answer is either "never," or only when their hand is forced a la The National Enquirer and the John Edwards affair.

One other angle that I haven't seen addressed in-depth yet in the blogosphere: It seems this election has been a wake-up call for John McCain, who once proudly referred to the media as his "base." If anything good has emerged from this cesspool of media insanity (aside from Palin's tremendous abilities to dish it right back with a smile on her face), it's the original Maverick's realization that the drive-by's are nothing more than odious idealogues with no sense of decency. When he's President, I have no doubt the press corps will finally understand the meaning of the phrase "paybacks are a b*^&#!"
